Anna Sichlinger was born in Munich in 1995 and studied Theatre Studies (BA) at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, as well as Creative Writing and Editing (MA) at the University of Hildesheim. She has been working as a freelance translator since 2022. Her repertoire includes feature films, TV series, animation and audiobooks – mainly English to German in the field of dubbing. In addition to her freelance work, she is working on her doctoral thesis, Love in the Age of the Manosphere (working title). In her role as a research assistant at the University of Hildesheim, she conducts research into configurations of masculinity in social media and contemporary literature.
